Light Up the Park 2025

Updated: 5 days ago

Light Up the Park: A Night Made Brighter by Community Spirit

Despite snowy weather and bitter cold, the spirit of the season shined brightly at this year’s Light Up the Park. Members of the Park Board, along with the Mayor and his wife, stood out in the falling snow to greet families and visitors who braved the weather to celebrate opening night. While the snowfall kept some at home, it added a magical glow to the displays, making the lights sparkle even more against the winter backdrop.

Light Up the Park truly shines because of the incredible generosity, creativity, and hard work of our community. We are proud to recognize our ⭐ Stars of Holiday Giving ⭐—the donors, sponsors, volunteers, and decorators who helped bring this year’s display to life.

Thank you to the Northern Indiana Community Foundation for their grant donation; Craig Welding & Mfg. Inc. for the large Merry Christmas sign; Fulton County REMC and RTC Fiber Communications for the Tunnel of Lights; and Green Oak Antiques and Restorative Resonance for their display donations.

We also extend our appreciation to our pavilion and display decorators: Girls on the Run (Riddle Elementary), Brubaker Farms, Affordable Hearing, Life Care Center of Rochester, Ed and Amy Richard, and SoVan Media, LLC. A special thank you to Shannon Gaff for decorating her Jeep for the Lighting Ceremony and adding extra holiday cheer.

This event would not be possible without our dedicated setup crew and volunteers: Duane Border; Landon Notz and team; Kim Landis, Tammy Williams, and Mitch Hayes; Amanda Wood, Brad Collins, and Aimee Howard; and the Digital Wolf Network.

Thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, decorated, sponsored, or helped spread the word. Your time, generosity, and community pride make Light Up the Park a tradition we are honored to continue and proud to share with Rochester each year.
