Steering Committee Application

The Rochester Park and Recreation has entered a 5-year agreement to enhance our city parks and pool (golf course not included). We are now accepting applications for the steering committee.

What is it? A strategic plan to improve all CITY parks and the city pool over the next five years, used to apply for grants.

Who is on it?

• 2 park board members: Kim Landis & Ed Reed with about 8 community members.

Want to join? Email us at rochesterparkandrecreation@gmail.com with your name and contact info, your interest, and experience with parks/pool systems.

Key Dates:

• Kickoff: June 26 at the Wednesday Noon park board meeting

• Steering committee tentative schedule: mid-July, early Sept, early Dec, mid-March

• Attend regular park board meetings to stay updated

Public Involvement:

• Online survey: July & August

• In-person event & open forum: Nickel Plate Trail Festival on August 31st
